Dress for success is a wonderful organisation that supports women transitioning into the workforce. It's a non- profit organisation that invites people to help women in need of work wear.
Job interviews can be so nerve wrecking and the last thing you want to think about is your outfit. Besides having to know what you're talking about, you also have to look the part and this can be a little bit challenging when you have a lot on your mind.
There's a great organisation called dress for success that allows women to visit a shop-style home that has lots of clothing and accessories that are perfect for job interviews and work-wear. How awesome is that?
Women can contact the local organisation with details of their interview and go in for a consultation where they'll have a full outfit fitting and they get to walk away with that outfit. The outfit are made-up of donated clothing and accessories which are then washed, ironed and, if needed, mended.
"What makes volunteering worthwhile is when a client, dressed for success, looks at herself in the mirror and sees her potential. It is her smile, her tears and the lightness of her step that makes our hearts swell." shared one volunteer and we can see why! It must feel great being able to offer such a service and all for free. What an amazing initiative.
